Zertifikat C1 exam at the Sprachenatelier

Explanation: The Goethe-Institute has revised the "Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP)'' in the course of adapting its reference framework and has awarded it the name of "Goethe-Zertifikat C1 (ZMP)" as of the first of September 2007.


With the certificate Zertifikat C1 you can show that you understand a wide range of long and demanding texts and recognise the implict meaning. You can use the language flexibly and effectively for social and academic purposes and you can produce clear, well-structured, detailed texts on complex subjects, using appropriate cohesive devices.


The Zertifikat C1 is a world recognised name and is accepted by employees as proof of solid general language skills in German. The certificate exempts some students from the oral entrance exam at a range of german technical colleges and from some universities.

For the Zertifikat C1 you should have taken part in approximately 800-1000 teaching units of 45 minute intensive lessons

Language learners at level C1 can:
• understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning
• express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions
• use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
• produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

For who?

The telc exam Zertifikat B2 is suitable for all learners who would like to document their competence in German or need proof of their language competence at this level. Although this level mainly concerns students who wish prepare to go further in their education or employment it is also available for job seekers who would like to add the telc Zertifikat C1 to complete their CV.

Why?
Exam participants can document their language skills in reference to an internationally recognised scale with a sucessfully taken telc exam Zertifikat C1. A language learner can prove that they can ''select from extensive knowledge of language formulations to help them express themselves clearly without much obvious searching for expressions'', ''express him/herself fluently and spontaneously using a good structure'' as well as ''understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts'' also if these do not belong to a technical area''*

The dates for the Zertifikat B2 can be flexibly determined in advance. Registration takes place at the Sprachenatelier Berlin as it is an institute of education licensed by telc Ltd.
